Zora has taken quite a liking to her books lately, which is a bit of relief for me. I have worried off and on that we have not spent nearly as much time reading books to her as we did with Owen and I was afraid she might not love books like he does. But maybe just watching us read to Owen and Owen flip through books on his own hour after hour has peaked her interest. Whatever the reason, her books are currently one of her favorite toys. She has a basket full of board books in the living room and she will often crawl over there and just start pulling the books out until everyone of them is on the floor. And she will sit and turn the pages, back and forth, pointing at pictures. And of course she loves to eat them.

When she wants us to read her a book she will take one from her basket and bring it to us, insisting that we read it as she points and says "ah! ah!". And if we don't start reading quite fast enough or turn the pages quickly enough she will let us know by yelling. Loud. Owen likes to "read" to her too. He has most of the books memorized so he can sit with her and read the books to her which I absolutely love.
Her current favorites include "Bear on Bike", "Peekaboo Morning", "Where is the Green Sheep", "Everywhere Babies" and "Good Night Gorilla"

I love her newfound love of books and hope it will last her a lifetime.
